Mika Tsongas Bassett, ND, LAc, MSOM, Dipl.Ac.
Dr. Mika Tsongas Bassett was raised in Portland, Oregon, and graduated cum laude in psychology from University of Puget Sound. Her studies included an emphasis in exercise physiology and pre-medical sciences. After graduation, she moved to Colorado to teach skiing and work as a physical therapy aide, where she became an avid mountain biker and developed a growing interest in natural, whole-person wellness.
Recognizing her passion for natural medicine and a holistic approach to healing, Dr. Mika completed a four-year doctoral program in naturopathic medicine, and is a licensed naturopathic physician (ND). While attending naturopathic medical school, Dr. Mika became inspired both by an introductory course in Chinese Medicine, as well as through her own experience of the effectiveness of acupuncture and qi gong (a Chinese medical healing art similar to tai ji). She went on to complete a four-year Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) program and is nationally certified in the practice of acupuncture (DiplAc), and is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc). In conjunction with her Chinese medical training, she studied extensively with a renowned Chinese qi gong and tai ji practitioner, Master Zhongxian Wu.

Dr. Mika brings optimism and unwavering dedication to helping patients uncover their own greatest potential and achieve their goals despite obstacles; she exudes enthusiasm and encouragement every step of the way.
